Sri Praneeti Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically just us farmers here in Girnare getting together. Shrikant Lilke lets us use his place as the main spot for the company. We didn't want anything too complicated. It's just a group of us who grow things and thought it would be better to join up. Farming alone is getting harder these days with all the costs going up. We talk about what fertilizer to buy or how the crop looks this month. Girnare is a good place, but like anywhere else, we have our struggles. This isn't a big corporate thing with a lot of people in suits. It's just neighbors. We spend most of our time out in the fields, not behind a desk. Sometimes we meet up after work to discuss the next harvest. It's a lot of practical stuff, really. No one is trying to get rich quick, we just want to get a fair deal for what we grow. The paperwork for the government is a bit of a headache, but Shrikant helps out with that. We just do our best with what we have. It’s about the soil and the crops and making sure we can keep going for another year. Even when the market is down, we have each other to talk to. It makes the long days feel a little bit shorter and the work feels a bit easier when you aren't doing it all by yourself.
