Shrimurti Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down here at Shrimurti Farmer Producer Company Limited, things move at their own pace. Our office is over at L.S.254 in Babhali, which is part of the Naigaon area. Most people around here know where we are because it’s right in the middle of where the work happens. It isn't a big glass building or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we can meet and talk about the crops. During the harvest, it gets really crowded with people coming in to talk about prices or timing for their deliveries. We spend a lot of time looking at the sky and worrying about the rain, just like everyone else in the village. The paperwork can be a real headache sometimes, especially when the internet is slow or the computer acts up, but we manage to get it filed eventually. We have a few desks and some chairs that have seen better days. Usually, there is a lot of mud on the floor because folks come straight from the fields to see us. We don’t mind it much. It’s part of the life here in Babhali. We just try to be fair and keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to load up, but that is just how it goes in this business. It’s a lot of hard work, but we are used to it by now.
