Shivvighnaharta Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Satana, over in the Pathaknagar area. You can find us at C/S 60 Road. We are part of the Nashik district, which everyone knows is a big place for farming. Our group is made up of farmers who grew up in these fields. We decided to start this company because we wanted to have more control over our work. Dealing with buyers and getting supplies like fertilizer is easier when you do it as a group. Our office isn't much to look at, just a functional space in Satana where we keep our books. We aren't professional office workers, so things might look a bit messy sometimes. We’d rather be outside checking the crops anyway. It’s a lot of responsibility to keep the company running on top of our daily farm chores, but we think it’s worth the effort. We don't use any big words or have any grand speeches. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. Some days we have long meetings to decide what to do next, and other days we just chat for a few minutes. It’s about sticking together as neighbors. We’ve known each other for a long time, so we trust each other. We are just trying to make a living and keep our families fed. It’s honest, hard work and we don't expect it to be anything else. We are just local people working the land.
