Shivshakti Shetkari Gut Pimplegaon Kale Producer Company Limited

We are located at Narayan B. Pandav's house, which is House Number P in Pimplegaon Kale. This is out in the Jalgaon Jamod area. We are a 'Shetkari Gut,' which is basically a farmer group that we turned into a producer company. It’s a very local thing. We all live around here. The house is our main hub. You’ll usually find a few bikes parked outside and some farmers sitting on the steps talking about the cotton or the grain prices. We don't have a lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you just shout for someone or walk into the main room. We handle the business of the group right there at the kitchen table or on the porch. It’s a bit unorganized sometimes, with papers everywhere and the phone constantly ringing, but we get the job done. Pimplegaon Kale is a tight community. We started this because it was getting harder to do everything alone. Now we pool our resources. It’s a lot of manual work, checking the quality of the bags and making sure the weights are right. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We just want to make sure our families and our neighbors are doing okay. It’s just us, working the land and trying to be smart about how we sell what we grow. We just take it one day at a time and do the best we can for the group.
