Shivarsamruddhi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out of Plot Number 29A in Section N 11, over in the Cidco area. It’s a busy part of town, which makes it easier for the farmers in our group to get together. Shivarsamruddhi Farmer Producer Company Limited was set up because a bunch of us realized we could handle things better if we just worked as one unit. It’s not always smooth sailing. We have our fair share of disagreements about which crops to focus on or how to manage the equipment we share. But at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to make the farm life work. The office isn’t much to look at—mostly just some chairs and a desk covered in notes and old receipts. We spend more time talking on our phones or meeting up in person than we do writing emails. It’s a practical way of doing things. Being in Cidco means we’re close to the action, but our hearts are still out in the dirt where the plants grow. We don’t have a big staff, just the members who chip in when they can. It’s a local effort, through and through. We started this because we needed a way to help ourselves without relying on too many outsiders. It’s a lot of manual labor and figuring things out as we go. That’s just the reality of it. We are just local people trying to grow together in a tough market.
