This patch of land is part of the Jagannath Housing Society over at Mumbai Naka. If you are looking for it, just turn down Kaut Ghat Road and you will see the open space at number 4. It isn't a professional stadium or anything like that, just a flat ground where the neighborhood kids play cricket on the weekends. During the week, it stays pretty quiet until the school hours are over. We have to keep an eye on the grass because it grows fast during the monsoon season. Sometimes we hire a local guy to come and trim it down so it doesn't get too wild. The fence on one side is a bit loose, but it does the job. People use the perimeter for morning walks when it's cool out. It’s dusty in the summer, that’s just how it is in Nashik. We don’t have fancy lights or seating areas, just the dirt and some stones that kids use for wickets. On some evenings, you might find the older folks sitting on the edge talking about the weather. It is a useful space for the society. It’s been here as long as the buildings have. There’s always someone around, either a guard or a resident, making sure nobody is dumping trash there. It’s just a plain ground that serves the people living around Mumbai Naka. It isn't anything special to look at, but it gets plenty of use.
