Anand Niketan

Anand Niketan has been part of the Satpur area in Nashik for quite some time. We’re located right in the middle of this industrial and residential mix, which means we see a lot of different families every day. The school isn't one of those massive institutions with glass walls. It’s a practical building that has seen many groups of students pass through its halls over the years. We put our effort into getting the work done. The teachers come in early, set up their boards, and wait for the bus to arrive. It’s a steady kind of life here. We teach the usual subjects and make sure the kids have their notebooks filled. Nashik is a growing city, and Satpur is always busy, so we try to provide a bit of a stable environment for the kids while they are with us. There’s a playground area that gets used every afternoon, and the sound of children playing is something the neighbors are well used to by now. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or big speeches. We just handle the day-to-day business of running a school. Parents drop by to talk about their children’s progress, and we sit down with a cup of tea to discuss things. It’s all very down-to-earth. We’ve had siblings and even cousins of former students come through, which makes the place feel like a small community of its own for everyone involved.
