Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya

Our college is tucked away in Ganeshwadi Panchavati. If you know the Panchavati area well, you probably have passed by our gates at some point. It’s a place where there is always the faint smell of dried herbs or oils hanging in the air. We have students coming in from different parts of the region to learn about traditional medicine and how it all works. The building itself is sturdy and has that older feel to it, which seems to fit what we do here. There are classrooms filled with charts and benches where the students spend most of their day reading through heavy books. We have a small area where plants are kept, and sometimes you will see people tending to them in the morning sun. It is a quiet place for the most part, except when the lectures end and everyone spills out into the hallways at once. We don't try to look like those modern glass buildings you see in the city. We keep things practical. The staff rooms are usually cluttered with papers and registers because there is always something to keep track of. Living and working in Panchavati means we are part of a very traditional neighborhood, and we like that. It keeps us grounded in the work. The hallways are long and a bit cool even when it’s hot outside. We just keep going one day at a time, teaching what we know and keeping the place running.
