Sairam Hi-Tech Farmer Producer Company is based out of Pangarkhedatq in Ambad. Don't let the "Hi-Tech" name fool you into thinking we are some big city operation. We are just local farmers who are trying to use a few newer ideas to make our work a bit easier. We operate from the village, and most of us have been working these same plots of land for generations. We realized a while back that the old ways were getting harder to sustain, so we formed this group. We look at different ways to plant or better ways to keep the soil healthy. It’s mostly just sitting around in Pangarkheda and talking about what worked for someone else. We help each other find better equipment or share the cost of things that are too expensive for one person to buy. The "tech" part is really just us trying to be smarter about how we use our water and how we protect our crops from the heat. It is still hard, physical work every single day. We are out there in the dust and the sun, just like everyone else. We don't have a polished story to tell. We are just trying to make sure our farms stay productive so our families can stay here in the village and keep our traditions going for the next generation.
