Sai Ratna Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of House Number 142 in Veergaon. This is Bhausaheb Mohan Barse’s place, and it is where most of our daily work happens. We are out in the Vaijapur area, which is a quiet part of the district. Most of us here have been farming our whole lives, so starting this company felt like the next natural step for our village. We do not have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, we sit together in the shade or inside the house to discuss what needs to be done for the upcoming season. The soil around Veergaon has its own way of behaving, and we try to work with it as best as we can. Some days are slow, especially when the weather is not helping, but we just keep going. People stop by all the time to talk about seeds or tools. It is a local effort, really. We wanted a way to organize things better for the farmers around here so we do not always have to rely on middle people who do not know our fields. It is not always easy to manage everything, and we make mistakes sometimes with the paperwork, but the actual work on the ground is what matters to us. We just want to make sure the crops get sold and the work gets done right here in our own backyard.
