We are Sahyadri Nilwandi Zone Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our spot is at Gat No. 251/1 in Patalaghat, which is in Nilwandi, Dindori. It’s a beautiful part of the country with lots of hills and green space. We are right in the middle of the farming zone. The company is basically a collective of us neighbors. We figured it was better to combine our resources than to struggle alone. Dindori is a great place for agriculture and we try to make the most of it. Our day usually starts before the sun is up. There’s always something that needs fixing or a field that needs checking. We don't have any corporate branding or expensive consultants. We just use our own experience and talk to the older farmers who have seen it all before. Sometimes we disagree on how to do things but we always find a way to settle it. It’s a very practical way of living. Our office is just a place to keep the rain off our heads while we do the accounts. We don't spend much time there if we can help it. We’d rather be outside. We take things one day at a time. If the harvest is good then we have a good year. It’s as simple as that. We don't use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just grow food and try to do it right.
