Rs Foods operates out of Village Patoda, which is near the main road in the Yeola Taluka. It is a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our facility is basically a large shed where we handle different food products. Being near the main road is helpful because the transport trucks can find us easily, though the noise of the traffic is always in the background. We wake up early to start the work before the sun gets too high and the heat becomes unbearable. Most of our days are spent weighing bags, sealing packages, and keeping the floor swept. It is dusty work, and there is always the smell of grains or spices in the air depending on what we are processing that week. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. We just work with the local traders and make sure our orders are ready on time. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend half the morning fixing it with whatever tools we have on hand. It’s a very practical, hands-on business. My cousins and a few neighbors help out with the heavy lifting. We eat our lunch together in the shade of the big tree outside the main gate. It is just a normal village business trying to get by and keep the orders moving out to the markets in Yeola and beyond.
