R.D.N. Agro Producer Company Limited

R.D.N. Agro Producer Company Limited is what we call our group here in Adgaon. We are based out of Dnyaneshwar Anna Nikam’s place, right near Post Jehur. It is not a fancy corporate setup with a big office and desks. It is more of a practical way for us local farmers to get organized and help each other out with the harvest. Most days you will find us out in the fields rather than sitting inside. We deal with all sorts of crops that grow well in this local soil. The work is hard and the hours are long, but that is just the way it is when you live off the land. We started this because the market can be very tough if you are trying to sell everything on your own. By being part of R.D.N. Agro, we can share the burden of transport and try to get a better price for what we grow. Dnyaneshwar’s house is where we meet up to talk about the seeds, the weather, and what we need to do for the next season. There is always something to fix or a problem to solve. We do not have a big team of experts, just regular people from Adgaon who know about farming. We stay busy with the day-to-day chores and trying to make sure the business side of things stays on track. It is honest work and we just take it one day at a time.
