Our company, Ragi Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located at Gat No. 1/1 in Indira Nagar. We are right behind the More Nagar College in Baglan, which is part of the Nashik district. We focus on organic farming because that’s what we felt was right for our land. It’s a group of us farmers who didn't want to use all those chemicals anymore. Getting the organic certification and keeping up with the rules is a bit of a headache sometimes, but we manage. The "office" is a modest building near the fields. We spend a lot of time talking about soil health and natural fertilizers. It’s slower work than conventional farming, and we have to keep a close eye on everything. We don't have a big budget for advertising. Most of what we do is just working the ground and then figuring out who wants to buy organic produce this week. Baglan has some nice spots for this kind of work, and we’re happy to be here. We aren't some big corporate entity; we are just people who live in Indira Nagar and want to farm the right way. Sometimes we have meetings behind the college to talk about the next season. It’s practical, everyday work. We aren't perfect, and sometimes we make mistakes with the timing, but we’re learning as we go. It takes a lot of patience to do things this way, but we think it's worth it.
