Pragathitech Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gat No. 114 in Maliwadgaon. We are part of the Gangapur taluka. It’s a quiet area for the most part, except when it’s time to move the produce. We started this company because we saw that individual farmers were getting a tough deal. By grouping up, we have a bit more say in what happens to our crops after they leave the field. Maliwadgaon is the kind of place where you know your neighbor’s business anyway, so forming a producer company felt natural. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. Our office is functional, with just enough space for some chairs and a desk for the paperwork. Every day is different. Some days we are worrying about the water levels, and other days we are trying to fix a broken pump or figure out why the crop isn't looking right. We talk a lot about the practical stuff, like where to get the best fertilizer or how to handle the pests this year. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We use simple English and talk plain because that’s who we are. We aren't interested in sounding like a big city business. We just want to do the work, get the crops to the market, and make sure the people in our group are doing okay.
