We operate out of 5331 Hanuman Nagar on Umarkhed Road in Pimpalgaon Baswant. The day starts really early for us, usually before the sun is even up. By five in the morning, the first trucks are usually pulling in with crates of whatever is in season at the moment. It can get pretty loud and messy once the unloading starts, with everyone shouting instructions and moving things around. We handle a lot of different fruits and vegetables, some of which go to local shops and some that get sent further away. It involves a lot of lifting, weighing, and checking to make sure everything is in decent shape before it leaves the warehouse. The space we have isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical area for moving food from one place to another. We have a small office tucked in the back where we keep track of the manifests, but most of the work happens out on the floor. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see my brother or my cousins helping out with the crates or the paperwork on busy days. Being located right on Umarkhed Road is good for the transport side of things, even if the traffic gets a bit much sometimes. We don't do any fancy packaging or branding, just the standard crates and mesh bags. On hot days, the smell of the ripe fruit is really strong, which I’ve gotten used to after all these years.
