You can find us at Survey Number 124 in Nikwel. That’s in the Baglan taluka, out in the Nashik district. We named ourselves Pimpaleshwar Krushikalyan Farmers Producer Company because we wanted to have that local connection. Nikwel is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business, especially when it comes to what’s growing in the fields. Nashik is famous for farming, so there is a lot of pressure to do things right. We aren't doing anything fancy. We just get the local farmers together so we can buy seeds and fertilizer a bit cheaper and maybe sell our crops for a better price than we could on our own. The office at Sr No 124 is where we meet up to complain about the rain or the lack of it. It’s a simple building, nothing special to look at. We spend most of our time out in the actual fields anyway. Being a producer company means we have to deal with a lot of government forms, which none of us really like, but it’s part of the job. We want to see the village do well. When the farms in Baglan are green and healthy, the whole community feels better. We are just a bunch of guys who grew up with dirt under our fingernails and decided to try and run a business together.
