Pagar Shetkari Producer Company Limited is located over in Doulat Nagar in Deola. We are at house number 1634, which is Ramesh Trambak Pagar’s place. It is a local operation through and through. In this part of Nashik, farming is everything to us. We saw that things were getting harder for individual farmers, so we thought why not join up and help each other out. It has been a few years now and we are still learning the ropes of the business. Some days we feel like we know what we are doing, and other days we are just winging it. That is just the reality of running a small business in a village. We spend a lot of our time looking at the quality of the crops and figuring out where they need to go next. The office is not much to look at, just some chairs and a desk where we keep our registers and files. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually do our heavy work early in the morning. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the families here in Deola can keep their farms going. We talk to our neighbors, we share what we know, and we try to help each other with the transport. It is a lot of small tasks that add up to a big job. We are proud of what we are doing.
