Onion King Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Malegaon, right around Chatrapati Nagar. This place, Onion King Farmers Producer Company Limited, got started because a bunch of us who grow onions in Nashik needed a way to handle things together. It isn't a big fancy office or anything like that, just a spot on Plot 30 where we get the work done. Living in this part of Maharashtra, you know how it is with the weather and the markets. Sometimes things go well, and other times it's a real struggle to get a fair price for what comes out of the ground. We mostly spend our days talking to the other farmers in the Gatno 89 area and trying to figure out the best way to move the crops. It's a lot of manual work and phone calls. My cousin helps with the paperwork, though we aren't always the fastest at it. We don't have some big corporate plan. It's just about the onions and the people growing them around here. People stop by the office to complain about the rain or the heat, and we drink some tea and try to plan the next load. It’s a local thing, run by local people who know what the soil feels like. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and most folks around Malegaon know where to find us if they need to talk about their harvest.
