Our group is based out of Dhakalgaon, which is in the Ambad taluka area. We use House Number 688 as our main spot for meeting up and keeping our records. Nandanvan Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is really just a bunch of us neighbors who decided to pool our resources together. Farming around here has its ups and downs, and we figured it was better to face the challenges as a group instead of by ourselves. We grow different things based on what the ground allows each year. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we know the land pretty well. We aren’t experts in business, but we know how to plant and harvest. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit confusing, but we manage to get through it. We don't have any big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us. If someone needs help with their field, we try to be there. We spend a lot of time talking about prices and where to get the best supplies without spending too much. Our life revolves around the seasons and the market in Ambad. It’s a simple setup we have at the house, nothing too formal. We just want to make sure our kids have a future on this land. Being part of this company helps us stay organized and maybe get a little more respect when we go to sell our harvest at the end of the season.
