Mangalmurti Farmers Producer Companylimited is based in Shirpur, which is in the Dhule district. We are specifically located in Joshi Galli, right near the Ganpati Mandir. We use Manishakumar Maheshwari’s place as our base. Being in the middle of town like that is handy, though parking can be a real pain during the festival times. We are just a group of local farmers who wanted to do something together. We aren't corporate people and we don't have a lot of money for fancy things. The office is just a few desks in a room that smells a bit like old paper and tea. We spend our days talking to the other farmers in the area about their yield and what seeds are working best this year. Shirpur is a busy place, and there’s always something going on near the temple. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just want to get a fair price for the stuff we grow in the Dhule soil. It’s a lot of back and forth with the traders, which can be exhausting. We do the best we can with what we have. Most of us are more comfortable on a tractor than behind a desk, but the paperwork has to get done.
