Mai Food Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

We are located in Mai Apartment, which is right by Shriram Chowk in the Vasant Hill area. It’s a bit of a climb up Pipe Line Road to get here. Mai Food Innovations sounds like a big name, but we are actually a pretty small operation working out of this space. We spend our days trying out different ways to prepare and package food. Sometimes the kitchen smells like spices, and other times it’s something sweet. It’s a lot of trial and error. We have a few tables set up where we do our work and a lot of notebooks filled with scribbles. The apartment isn't huge, so we have to be very careful about where we put things. Shriram Chowk is a good landmark, so people can usually find us without too much trouble. We get a lot of noise from the traffic on Pipe Line Road, especially in the evenings. The neighbors in the apartment building are mostly used to us by now, though they sometimes ask what we are cooking. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who are interested in food. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls. It’s more of a workshop feel. We make mistakes, we try again, and we keep moving forward. It’s just how we do things here at Vasant Hill. We keep the windows open when it gets too stuffy inside.
