Krushneshwar Womens Farmer Producer Company Limited is a bit different because it is run by the women in our area. We are located near the Navab Bungalow on D.H.R. road in Wai. This is in the Satara district. We started this because we wanted the women farmers here to have their own voice. We work out of Narayan Laxman Shinde’s place. Wai is a beautiful area, but the farming is still back-breaking work. We grow all sorts of things and manage the whole process ourselves. From buying the seeds to selling the final produce, we handle it all. We aren't corporate professionals. We are mothers and sisters who also happen to be farmers. Our meetings are often loud and busy because we have so much to get through. We don't have any polished marketing materials. We just rely on the quality of what we grow. Being in Satara gives us good soil, and we make the most of it. We share our knowledge about which crops are doing well and help each other with the labor. The company gives us a bit of independence that we didn't have before. If you are near the Navab Bungalow, you can find us. We are always happy to show people what we are doing.
