Krushi Aksh Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out in Molkheda. We use Ravindra Durgadas Gaikwad’s place for our base. It’s Krushi Aksh Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are just local farmers from Soygaon who wanted to join up. Farming alone is tough these days. You have to deal with the markets and the traders, and it gets exhausting. We figured if we worked together, maybe we’d have a better chance. We don’t have a big office building. We just meet at Ravindra’s house and talk about what needs doing. Most of us grow the usual crops for this part of the country. We know the land well because it’s where we grew up. There’s no fancy talk here. We just speak plain English and Marathi mostly. We’re not here to make a huge profit, just to make a living and keep our farms going. Sometimes the rain doesn’t come, or it comes too much, and we have to help each other out. That’s why we started this. It’s a simple setup. We are learning how to handle the business side, which is new to some of us. We spend most of our time in the dirt, not behind a desk. It’s honest work. If you come to Molkheda, you’ll see us in the fields. We’re just trying to get our produce to the right people without losing too much in the process and making sure everyone survives. That is our reality and we are sticking to it.
