Kharde Khore Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Kharde Khore Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are located at Sandip Ashok Pawar’s place in Kharda, which is in the Deola area of Nashik district. Nashik is famous for its farming, but it's hard work for the people actually doing it on the ground. We started this because we were tired of seeing the profits go to people who don't even own a plow. We handle things locally and try to make sure everyone in our group gets what they need. It's a small operation, really. Most of our meetings happen right there in the village under a tree or in a small room. We talk about what to plant next and how the soil is looking this year. Deola is a good place, but we have to be smart about how we manage our resources. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and that’s when being part of a group helps. We can share advice and sometimes share equipment if someone's tractor is broken down. It’s a community thing more than a business thing, though we have to keep the books straight to stay legal. We’re just local people trying to make a living off the land we’ve always known. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. Life here is slow, and we are just trying to keep it moving.
