Out here at Pawar Farm in Baglan, things are usually pretty quiet until the harvest season kicks in. Kasmadekrushi Kalyan Private Limited is based right here in Dholbare, which is a small corner of Nashik. You won't find any big signs or glass doors. It’s mostly just the sounds of the tractors and the birds. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever the ground gives us. Nashik weather can be tricky, so we are always watching the clouds. Sometimes we sit under the trees and talk about what the next season will bring. We started this because we needed a better way to handle things ourselves instead of relying on people from the city who don't know our soil. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, making sure the paperwork for the company is done right while also keeping an eye on the crops. We aren't experts in business talk, we just know what it takes to grow things. People come by the farm to ask questions or just to see how things are going. We share what we know. The office is really just a room where we keep the records and a few chairs for visitors. It's not always organized, and things get dusty quickly out here. We just want to make sure the work we do helps the people living around these hills. It's practical work for real people who understand what it means to work the land.
