Kashindu Krushi Unnati Farmer Producer Company Limited

This is the Kashindu Krushi Unnati Farmer Producer Company Limited, based out of Khamatane in the Baglan area. We work out of Bajirao Baburao Suryawanshi’s house, which is house number zero. Being in Nashik district, we are right in the middle of all the farming action. This company is really just a bunch of us farmers coming together to see if we can do better as a group. Baglan has some good land, but it's hard work every single day. We spend a lot of time discussing prices and who is growing what this year. Sometimes we meet under the trees or just standing in the dirt. It's not a formal thing where everyone wears a suit. Usually, we are in our work clothes. There’s always a tractor or some tools nearby that need cleaning. We try to help each other out when someone has a problem with their crop or needs to find a buyer. It’s a slow process building something like this from the ground up. We make mistakes sometimes, maybe forget to file a paper or get a date or a name wrong, but we fix it and keep going. It’s about the community here in Khamatane and making sure we can all keep farming for another year without too many headaches. It is just life out here in the fields, and we take it one day at a time.
