Kajwade Katwan Farmers Producer Company Limited is over at Gut Number 49 in Kajwade, which is part of the Malegaon taluka in Nashik. This area has a lot of history with farming, and we are just the latest ones trying to make it work. We go by the name Kajwade Katwan because those are the places we know best. Our office is a basic room at the farm site where we keep our registers and talk about the business. It’s usually dusty and smells like the outdoors, which is fine by us. We aren't the type of people who like sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. We’d rather be out checking the crops at G.No. 49 or talking to the neighbors about how their season is going. Being a producer company means we can buy things in bulk and maybe save a little money here and there. It’s all very practical stuff. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to grow good food and make enough to keep the lights on and the tractors running. Nashik can be a tough place to farm sometimes, but we are used to it. We just take things one day at a time. If the crop is good, we’re happy. If it isn't, we just figure out what to do differently next time. We aren't looking for praise, just a fair chance to sell what we grow and keep the land healthy.
