Harshraj Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in the Deola area. Specifically we are located at Lamptal Kalwan in the Nashik district. Our office is at Bhaskar Chindha Sawant’s place which is easy to find if you are from around here. It is a very traditional setup for a farmer company. We don't have any modern decorations or expensive office chairs. There is just a big wooden desk where Bhaskar keeps the registers and the company stamp. Most of the people who come to see us are from the nearby villages in Kalwan. We talk about the onion prices and the weather mostly because those are the things that affect our lives the most. Nashik is famous for its crops and we are right in the heart of that region. The wind blows a lot across the open land and the office gets a bit dusty but we don't mind. We are just a group of local people who wanted to organize ourselves. We don't have any fancy missions or corporate goals. We just want to make sure we can sell our produce for a fair price. It is a lot of hard work and we spend a lot of time just waiting for the right season. Our office is a place for farmers to come and share their problems. We keep it simple because that is what we know and what works for us in this part of the district.
