Freshvegi Farmers Producer Company Limited

We have our little spot at Block Number 02 in the Ritz Co-operative Housing Society. It’s right near the P.E. School on Nashik Road. Being so close to the main road makes it easier for us to move things around. Freshvegi was started because we wanted to get our vegetables to people faster. Nashik is a huge area for farming, and sometimes the farmers get forgotten in the middle of it all. We are just a small group of people working out of a residential building. It’s a bit funny having an agro company in a housing society, but it works for us. We spend our mornings checking the quality of what’s coming in. It smells like fresh earth and greens most of the time. We don't have a big warehouse, so we have to stay on top of things or it gets crowded. Sometimes we are up before the sun even starts to show, getting things ready for the day. Our neighbors are used to us by now. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just try to get the vegetables out while they are still good. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting crates and sorting through everything. We have a few mishaps now and then, like a delivery being late or a mix-up with an order, but we always fix it. It’s just us doing our thing.
