Farmchoice Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of the space belonging to Mr Manik Haribhau Dharraovadner Bhairao in Chandwad. We have a lot of bags piled up most of the time, and the smell of the earth is everywhere. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We are just a group of people working together to make sure the produce from this part of Chandwad finds a place to go. Manik has been here a long time, so people trust coming to this address. We spend our afternoons sorting through things or waiting for the transport to arrive. Sometimes the trucks are late, and we just end up sitting around the yard talking about the local news. It’s a bit messy, and there’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky roof or a squeaky gate. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from moving heavy sacks to writing out the receipts. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunup to sundown.
