We're a group of women from Lohsingve in Nashik. We started Eklahare Womens Farmer Producer Companylimited at house number 109 because we wanted to work together on our farming stuff. It’s mostly just us local ladies trying to figure out how to get better prices for what we grow. Farming is hard work, especially here in Nasik, so having a company makes things a bit easier to manage. We handle the seeds, the crops, and all the day-to-day things that happen on a farm. Most of us have been doing this since we were kids, following what our parents did. Now we have this official name on paper, but on the ground, it’s just the same dirt and the same long days under the sun. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just our homes and the fields. Sometimes the weather doesn't help much, and some years are better than others, but that's how it goes in this part of Maharashtra. We talk about what to plant next and how to share the tools we have. It’s a simple setup, really. We just want to make sure the work we do in Lohsingve actually pays off for our families. There isn't much more to it than that. Just women working hard and keeping the farm going as best as we can every single day. We just stay focused on the fields and our families.
