Doctor Kisan Bio Research Institute Private Limited

We are set up in Shop No. 02 at the Shakuntala Haeights Apartment. That’s in Janak Nagari, over in the Kamathwade area. It’s basically a small research spot where we look into bio solutions for farming. We don't wear white lab coats every day or anything like that. It’s more about testing things out and seeing what helps the local crops. We called it Doctor Kisan because we wanted to focus on the health of the plants. Being in an apartment building shop means we are right in the middle of the community. We get a lot of walk-ins from people asking questions about their gardens or their small farms. We don't mind. We aren't trying to be a big fancy institute. It’s just a practical space with some equipment and a lot of dirt samples. Sometimes the office smells a bit like fertilizer but that’s just the nature of the work. We spend hours looking at how different bio-compounds react. It’s slow work and you have to be patient. We don't have a big staff. Just a few of us who really care about how things grow. We opened this place in Kamathwade because it felt like a good central spot. We just keep doing our tests and helping out whoever stops by with a problem. It is how we learn and how we help.
