We started Dhudhdhara Farmers Producer Company Limited because we needed a way to work together better in Manjari. It’s located at Shivaji Sitaram Phate's house, number 90. Most of us here have been farming our whole lives. We grow what we can and try to figure out the markets. It’s not always easy being a farmer in this part of 413307. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and the weather. Sometimes we meet up at the house to plan things out for the next season. It’s just a group of local people trying to get by and maybe help each other a bit with the heavy lifting. There are plenty of challenges, like the rain not coming when it should. We aren't some big office with fancy suits. It is just us, the farmers, sitting around a table. Shivaji keeps the paperwork in order at his place. We hope that by staying together, we can get a slightly better deal for our crops. Nobody is getting rich here, but it's better than trying to do everything alone. It’s just a simple setup for local farmers to share ideas and sell what we produce together. We’ve got a lot of tools and equipment we try to share when someone’s tractor breaks down. It's really just a community thing. Working the dirt is hard, but having the company makes it feel a bit more official when we deal with buyers.
