Our factory is on Plot D-34 in the Sinner Malegaon MIDC area. It’s a typical industrial spot with lots of steel and heavy machinery around us. We spend our days making different kinds of wire products. There is always a rhythmic clanking sound from the machines that draw the metal wire out. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to it by now. The floor is solid concrete and we have large coils of metal stacked up in the corners. We do everything from the initial pulling to the final winding on the spools. It takes a lot of attention to make sure the gauges are right for what is needed. Most of the guys here wear heavy boots and overalls because it can get quite messy. We don't have much of a front office, just a small space for the paperwork and a desk. Most of the action happens right on the shop floor. The air smells a bit like oil and metal most of the time. We get our raw materials in big trucks and send out the finished coils the same way. It’s honest work and we’ve been part of this MIDC for a long time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just part of being in this area. We just focus on keeping the machines running.
