Darna Ricemill Association

If you head out to Samanera, you’ll find us at house number 217. It’s a quiet spot in the Samneranashik area. Darna Ricemill Association is basically just a group of us who came together to handle the milling side of things. It is hard work and the days are usually long, especially when the harvest comes in. We have been at this for a while now. The address 422403 is home for most of us, or at least it feels like it with the amount of time we spend at the mill. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don’t really have any big corporate goals or anything. We just want to make sure the rice gets processed like it’s supposed to. Sometimes the machines act up or the power goes out, which is common enough around here, and we just have to fix it and move on. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. Living and working in the same small community means everybody knows what everybody else is doing. We take care of the equipment at H.No.217 and try to keep things running smooth for the association members. It's just a regular bunch of people trying to make a living in Samanera without making too much of a fuss about it. We just wake up, do the milling, and hope for a good season every single year.
