Civil Engineer

Rahul Vasantrao Kumbhar here. I do civil engineering stuff out of Yeshwantnagar in Akluj. It's under the Malshiras Taluka in Solapur district. Most of the time I'm just looking at plans or checking out sites around the 413118 area. My office is basically where I live. People usually just drop by or call when they need a house checked or some levels taken for a new build. The weather gets pretty dry here, so we have to watch how the concrete sets in the afternoon sun. I've been doing this for a bit now. Most folks in the village know my family. It's not a big fancy operation. Just me and sometimes a couple of helpers if the job is bigger than usual. I spend a lot of time on my bike getting from one plot to another. The roads can be a bit rough after the rain, but you get used to it. Sometimes the paperwork takes longer than the actual building part, which is annoying but that's how it goes with the local authorities. I try to keep things simple for the people who come to me. They just want their project done right without too many headaches. If you're looking for me, just ask around for Kumbhar's place near the main road. I’m usually around unless I’m out at a site in one of the neighboring villages. I don't use much tech, just my eyes and some basic tools most days.
