Civil Engg

I’ve been doing civil engg work here in Pimpalgaon, specifically the Pimpalgaon Baswant area of Nashik, for quite some time now. This part of the country is famous for its grapes, but people are always building new things too, so there is plenty of work for an engineer like me. I don’t operate out of a big glass building; I have a small place where I keep my instruments and drafting tools. My day is usually split between sitting at my desk and driving out to different sites around Nashik to check on progress. I’ve lived in this area most of my life, so I know the local people and how they like things done. It’s a very hands-on job. I don’t use a lot of big words or try to act like I’m more than I am. I’m just a local guy who knows how to put a building together on paper and make sure it’s done right in the field. When someone in Pimpalgaon needs a house plan or some engineering advice, they usually just stop me in the street or come by my place. I like the connection I have with the projects here. It’s rewarding to see a family move into a home that you helped design. The work is steady, and I try to keep things simple and clear for everyone I work with. That’s just the way it is here in Nashik. I also spend time checking the materials used on site carefully.
