Chinchkheda Farmers Producer Companylimited is based right here in Chinchkheda village, which is part of Kannad in Aurangabad. Our registered spot is at Kailas Tukaram Maldude’s place. It’s a simple village setup, the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We started this because the small farmers around here were having a hard time on their own. In this part of Aurangabad, the water situation can be a real headache, so we try to figure out ways to manage things together. It isn’t some big professional outfit with a lot of money or staff. Most of our meetings happen on a porch or under a tree, just talking about what needs to be done for the upcoming season. We don't use any of that marketing language because that’s not how we talk to each other. We just want to make sure that when we grow something, we actually get a bit of profit from it at the end of the day. It’s a lot of trial and error, to be honest. We deal with the government rules as best as we can, even when they are confusing to us. We’re just local people trying to make the farm life a bit more stable for our families. If you ever pass through Kannad, you’ll find us busy with the daily chores. There is always a tractor to fix or a field that needs looking at. We just keep moving forward one day at a time and hope the rain comes when it should.
