It’s a pretty large space where the kids spend their days. If you walk around the grounds, you’ll see the older buildings and the fields where the students play. It’s not one of those modern, glass-walled places you see in the big cities like Mumbai. It’s got a bit of history to it, and you can tell by the way the walls look and the creaks in some of the doors. Staff here have been around for quite a while, and they know the local area well. In the mornings, there’s a lot of noise with parents dropping off their children and the school buses arriving. Nashik weather is usually okay, but it gets a bit chilly in the winter months, so you’ll see everyone wrapped up in sweaters. We have regular classrooms with wooden desks and chalkboards that have been used for years. The junior college section is usually a bit more serious, with the older students carrying around their thick textbooks and talking about their future plans. It’s just a normal school environment where things go on as they always have. People in Devlali are used to seeing us here. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations, just the name of the school on the gate.
