Anupratap Farmer Producer Company Limited

Anupratap Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of the Satana area in the Nashik district. We use Manohar Bagul’s place in Sanmitra Housing as our home base. It is a simple setup in a regular housing area, which makes it easy for us to meet up without needing a big, expensive office. We are all farmers from around Talsatana. Farming in this part of Nashik is what we’ve always done, and starting this company was just the next step for us. We wanted to have more of a say in how our produce is handled and sold. Most days, someone is over at Manohar’s house talking about the crops or checking on the latest government rules for farmer groups. It’s not very formal. We might be drinking tea and looking over some handwritten notes about the harvest. We don't have any professional managers. It’s just us farmers trying to navigate the business side of things. Sometimes we make mistakes with the forms, but we help each other fix them. The goal is just to keep our farms healthy and make sure we can sell what we grow for a decent price. It’s a quiet life for the most part, punctuated by the busy times of sowing and reaping. We are glad to have our own company name now. It feels like we are finally looking out for ourselves and our neighbors in Satana.
