You can find us at Pralhad Kakasaheb Darandale’s place in Khedlard Zopadpatti, Sonai. The company is called Anjaneriagro Vikas Shetkari Producercompany Limited. It is a long name for what is essentially a local group of farmers. We are in the Newasa taluka. We started this because we wanted a better way for the farmers in Sonai to work together. Pralhad’s place is our main office. It is not fancy at all, just a spot where we can sit down and talk about the business. We deal with all sorts of agricultural issues. Most of our days are spent checking on the crops or talking to the other members of the company. It is hard work being a farmer, and being in a producer company makes it a little more manageable. We do not have a big advertising budget or a polished image. We are just guys who know how to grow things and want to get a fair price. There is always someone coming by to ask about the latest rules or where to get the best seeds for the season. We try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain does not come and things get tough, but that is the life we chose. We do not have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields pays off at the end of the year. It is a humble setup, but it is ours.
