Out here near the Ramshila Mountain in Ward No. 5, we spend our days working with pulses. Being close to Ramshila Ramkund gives the place a bit of a different feel compared to being in the middle of a noisy town. We have the machinery set up for processing the grains, and there is always a particular smell of raw pulses in the air. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it's where we have our space. We handle things like sorting and cleaning the pulses before they go out in bags. It’s steady work, though it gets very busy during harvest seasons when the new crops come in. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. Sometimes the machines act up or the weather makes things difficult for drying, but we manage. We aren't some big high-tech factory. It's more of a local operation where we keep an eye on everything ourselves. We see the mountain every day when we step outside the gate. It’s a quiet life mostly, just focusing on the bags of grain and making sure they are packed right. People in the ward know us, and we just go about our business without much fuss. The work is repetitive, but there is a satisfaction in finishing a large batch for delivery.
