Selvamm Arts & Science College sits right on Salem Road, along the NH 7 highway. If you're heading through Namakkal, you'll see us at Ponnusamy Nagar in the Pappinaickenpatti post area. The location is 637003, and being near the main road means there's always something going on outside our gates. It’s a big campus, quite spread out with different buildings for the various subjects we have. We get a lot of students from across Tamil Nadu because the bus connections are pretty good right on the highway. It’s not a quiet place, especially when classes let out and everyone is heading for the exits. We’ve got plenty of trees to provide some shade, which really helps when the sun is beating down on the courtyard. The staff here are mostly locals who understand how things work in Namakkal. We spend a lot of time on administrative stuff, making sure schedules are posted and students find their way to the right halls for their exams. It’s a bit of a long walk from the main gate to some of the back offices, so we stay pretty active. We don't use much fancy language to describe ourselves; we’re just a college providing a place for people to learn. There’s a canteen that stays busy and the library is usually full of people. It feels like a small town inside the gates sometimes. We just focus on the daily tasks and keeping the college running.
