Sun Stars Higher Sec School

Sun Stars Higher Sec School in Namakkal is located right on the Jedarpalayam Velur Main Road. It gets quite loud with the buses going past in the morning, but the kids are used to it by now. I have been working here a while, and the building has seen better days, though we keep the classrooms clean enough for the students. Most of the children come from Vadakaraiatur or the little villages nearby. They arrive on their cycles or get dropped off by parents on bikes. It is a busy spot. We have the usual higher secondary setup, nothing too fancy, just desks, benches, and the big blackboards. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise when it is really hot in May, but we get through the lessons anyway. The playground is not huge, but it is enough for a quick game during the break. You will see the school building easily if you are driving down the main road toward Velur. It is a plain place where kids come to get their work done and pass their exams. We do not have those big air-conditioned halls you see in the cities. It is just local people teaching local kids. Every morning starts with the bell and a bit of a rush at the gate. We have a small staff room where we sit and drink tea when there is a free period. It is a simple life here in this part of Namakkal.
