Rainbow B Ed College

If you are driving down NH 7 on the main road between Salem and Namakkal, you will find Rainbow B Ed College in a place called Puduchatram. It is right there on the highway, so we get a lot of dust and the sound of big trucks passing by all day and night. The college is mostly about training people who want to become teachers. It is a quiet kind of place when you step inside, away from the road noise. We have students coming from the surrounding villages and towns like Namakkal. They come here because they want a steady career in teaching. The building is a simple one, nothing too elaborate, just the usual classrooms and office spaces. We spend a lot of time on practical things because that is what teaching is all about. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to deal with it, like anywhere else in this part of the state. The staff here are straightforward people who have been in education for years. We do not have any big fancy slogans or anything like that. The area around Puduchatram is mostly rural, so it is a bit of a trek for some of the staff to get here every morning, but we make it work.
