Nagamma Avirendla

Nagamma Avirendla is the name people know around Kambasagardubba. Our place is at H. No. 4-339, right in the heart of the village. It is not a big setup, just a local spot where things get done every day. In Thripuraram, everyone mostly knows each other so there is always someone passing by the door. We spend a lot of time sitting in the front area, handling whatever needs doing that day. The dusty road outside is usually quiet until the tractors go past. It gets really hot in the summer here in Telangana, so we try to get the heavy work done before noon. The house is where we live and where the business side of things happens too. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the stuff moved around to make room. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a table and some chairs where people sit. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out in the shade. It is a steady pace, nothing too fast. I keep a notebook for all the accounts and write everything down by hand. People come by for various things, and we just try to help them out as best as we can. It’s a small life but it keeps us busy from morning until night. We like it here in this corner of the district. We just keep going one day at a time.
