Bushipaka Mallamma

I am Bushipaka Mallamma and I live in Vaddepalle village in the Nampally mandal. My life is tied to this place and the land around it. It is a small village in the district and things move at a slow pace here. I spend most of my time taking care of the house and the daily chores that never seem to end. In Vaddepalle, everyone knows each other’s business but that is just how village life works. We talk over the fences and help out when someone is sick or needs a hand with the harvest. The weather really dictates what we do each day. If it’s raining, we stay inside and fix things that are broken. If the sun is out, we are busy in the fields or near the house. I don’t have a big title or a fancy office. My name is on the paperwork for what we do here, but it is just part of living in Telangana. We grow what we can and manage with what we have. Sometimes we travel to the Nampally main area to get things we can't find in the village. It is a simple existence without many complications. We don't need much to be okay. We just work hard, look after the family, and stay quiet. The seasons come and go and we just stay here in Vaddepalle doing our part.
