St. Johns School

St. Johns School is situated in Bakhtiarpur, right on the Old Bypass Station Road. The building is quite easy to spot if you are heading toward the station. Since we are so close to the bypass, there is always movement outside. The school has been part of the Patna area for a long time now. We have several floors in the St. Johns School Building where the classes take place. In the mornings, you can see groups of children in their uniforms walking along the station road to get here. We have a mix of teachers, some who have been with us for years and some newer ones. The classrooms have high ceilings and large windows to help with the Bihar heat. It can get a bit noisy with the trains and the traffic on the bypass, but the students are used to it by now. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that; the principal sits in a simple room near the entrance. Most of our information spreads by word of mouth among the local families in Bakhtiarpur. We just try to provide a decent place for kids to learn their basics. The staff handles everything from the cleaning to the paperwork. It is a busy place, especially during the admission season, but mostly it is just a regular routine of classes and lunch breaks.
