Rdav Public School Narma

Rdav Public School is right in front of the Narma High School in the Hulasganj area of Jehanabad. This is a quiet, rural spot where things move at a slower pace than the city. The school building is simple and faces the main road that goes through Narma. You can see the fields nearby, and sometimes the cows graze quite close to the fence. The classrooms have big windows to let in the breeze, which is necessary since the electricity can be a bit unreliable at times. We have basic wooden benches and desks that have been around for quite a while. The students come from the local farming families and the surrounding houses. They usually arrive on foot or on bicycles. The playground is just a patch of open land where they play during the interval. It gets very dusty in the dry season and quite green when it rains. We have a small staff room where teachers sit together to share their lunch and talk about the day's work. The school doesn't have fancy laboratories or big auditoriums, just the essential rooms for teaching. Most of our day is spent following the regular curriculum and helping the kids with their reading and math. It’s a straightforward place where the focus is just on getting the students through their daily classes and preparing them for their exams. We keep the doors open and just get on with the work.
